Tres Locos in Muskego

Food was an even more American version of Mexican food than normal. Like everything came with cheese sauce - and note cheese sauce isn’t cheese. It’s that melted plastic like substance popular at movie theaters, game conventions and football games. Crazy super devil burrito-with cheese sauce. Super duper burrito- with cheese sauce. Pancho villa -with cheese sauce. And I mean- I wasn’t expecting Jose to come out with his grandmas secret tamale recipe - but it seemed a little more suburban than ethnic. Service was slow on a Tuesday lunch - one waitress trying to float the whole dining room side. And prices were high- but Taco Bell is about 10 bucks so 15-16 dollars for a less preserved meal where the meat isn’t from a tube - ok.

It was an alright place nothing special. My chimichunga was good they have a bar area. They did have a great spicy sauce. That was the best thing.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE Tres Locos! It has the best food I have eaten in a long time! The staff are very kind to the costumers! I would like to give a shout out to angie who works there! She is the best!!!!! She was so kind to me and my parents. After I started eating I just knew that it was my new favorite resteront!! I am definetly comming back to Tres Locos! But I'm very sad that I live in Beloit because Tres Locos is an hour away from my house.😥

Our group had a fantastic time I was really impressed by how well the waitress (Mya) managed such a large party of 13 for dinner. Fast and great service. Great margaritas we really enjoyed our time.

Food is always great. Sometimes forget things in order when picking up. But dining in is always good.

Tres Locos is one of my few local restaurants in town. There are all of the traditional Mexican dishes that you’ve come to expect at a Mexican restaurant, but Tres Locos does nothing to make them special. The food is very average, and not too flavorful (you do get a lot though). If you’re in Muskego and need some mediocre Mexican food I’d stop in, but it is worth driving to another Mexican restaurant in a neighboring town to get more flavorful and special food. The atmosphere is also kind of odd. Limited Mexican decor, cheap looking dining room furniture, and TVs mounted on the walls make it feel more like a cheap Mexican sports bar and grill than an authentic Mexican restaurant that also includes a bar.

There's a lot tastier mexican places in the area. After further review, had carry out a few times, it was as good as competition.

Would be 5 star if the seating was laid out a little better.

The customer service is constantly speedy, lovely mood, friendly staff members. I will eat here again when I am nearby.

Really good food. I enjoyed the salsa. I thought the prices were a bit high for what I got, but I'll probably eat there again.

We just ordered carry out and it was great! We got the El Jefe Burrito, seafood enchiladas and taquitos appetizer - everything was great! Fresh, hot and flavorful! Thank you for a great Saturday night inside date night!

This place was awesome

Not impressed, the restaurant is looking run down. Wall paper peeling off the walls, our table wobbled with every lean of an elbow. I question the cleanliness when there are obvious defects in the dining area. Service was adequate, no dress code for staff. Servers in shorts, who shouldn’t be wearing them, gross! Food was underwhelming. Shrimp street tacos consisted of shrimp & lettuce in a soft tortilla, no sauce, nothing! Chicken taquito appetizer was decent, definitely more flavorful than my tacos. Jambalaya portion was ridiculously huge, flavor was ok, again nothing special. Sorry but would not recommend.

The traditional corn beef sandwich was delicious.

Was in town for a wedding and ordered food here to go. Really really delicious. Everyone enjoyed their food. Definitely worthwhile.

Love this place! Love their salsa, their guacamole, their grilled veggie fajitas. We had the steak and shrimp one this time a the shrimp we're perfect! Not chewy and over cooked. This is a great place for vegetarian meals. They have mushroom and asparagus enchiladas which is also another favorite.They also have good unsweet tea.😊

Expected more of a traditional restaurant setting, but was surprised to find it was more of a bar, which is not a bad thing at all. They do have a room away from the bar that has more of the restaurant feel if you still want that. Our experience was great! They have such a wide variety of tacos which led to a difficult time deciding on what to get, but the ones I chose (chipotle) were incredible. The waiter/bartender was incredibly friendly, and even got is a round of shots because "we brought a good energy" he said! The shots were their house special tequila which is fermented with pineapples, I definitely recommend you give it a try. Very pleased with our first visit and I'm already excited to go back!

Safe option for quarantine. Masks, gloves, easy and safe pick up, and the most delicious Mexican food option west of Milwaukee. Help keep them afloat and your appetite satisfied.

Went to Tres Locos the first time last night. The food and service was great. The salsa was not to hot, but has a little heat to it. We will go back.

Smallest shrimp I've ever seen and fake crab, no good

Enjoyed a delicious dinner and of course, their signature margarita last night. Finally, I feel as if it's been a lifetime since I last visited. While indoor dining is not an option due to remodeling, patio is open and also, they have set up a tent in the parking lot. Early evening was rather warm, so I was a bit skeptical of the tent option. Pleasantly surprised, that part of the parking lot is shaded, nice breeze and table side service was tops. They do this right; serve their delicious food in disposable containers, plenty of room which allows for distancing, servers wearing masks and as always, very accommodating and friendly. Honestly, my preference is the outdoor option this summer and hopefully, even when indoor dining room does open, I hope outdoor options continue to be available. WI Weather permitting and into the autumn months. Thank you Tres Locos for a delicious dinner and very enjoyable evening. You are Tops!!!

Tres Locos is one of our favorite spots. Definitely our favorite place in Muskego. The food is always excellent and the prices are affordable. If you like spicy, try the calabacita (picture) or pepper steak (hotter.) The shredded chicken burritos (picture) are really good too. We love the free unlimited chips and salsa! The atmosphere is very laid back and the staff are very friendly and attentive, especially Sherry!

We have been going for 9 years because it is nearby and the owner and her husband are very friendly. Very average to poor as far as authentic Mexican food. In the last year they gave "reins" to their son Bob that normally just brought the kitchen down. The last three times in there most recently last week, "Bob" was once again throwing his vast weight around and belittling his employees in front of customers, once again! We will never go in there again as this has happened 3 times in a row now. And the fish tacos were so wet that they fell apart in our hands! Been there done that! Save yourselves the anguish.

Called last weekend to place a to-go order. I was so stunned by the abrasive demeanor of the guy who answered the phone that, after several attempts to place the order, I ended up telling him I’d be taking my business elsewhere. His response was “Fine.” Lovely customer service. We just wanted to support a local business, but they obviously didn’t want the business. We went to Lucky’s across the street and had a fabulous dinner.
